Dry As A Bone

Hydration for your Lungs, Large Intestine and Kidneys are crucial.

It's not often, that Winter is this cold or we get dumped on with two feet of snow. With the arctic wind blasting our faces and the heat cranked up high, it's amazing that our skin doesn't flake right off due to the dryness.

According to Chinese Medicine, these winter months affect both Lungs, Large Intestine and Kidneys.

The Lungs want to stay moist, the Large Intestine wants to absorb water, and the Kidneys need hydration..

The best way to help this dryness is to drink water. Specifically, drink 60 oz. daily and no, that does not include your coffee or alcohol. If you find it hard to drink that much, use a straw. It will help you consume the proper amount. Note: 60 oz. is average. If you are less than 120 lbs. drink half of your body weight. More is not better here.

The more you stay hydrated, the more energy you will have and the better you will feel.

Want to keep those muscles soft, your joints flexible and your tendons loose? Drink water. Simple as that.

And, oh, BTW, those humidifers you are hiding in the closet, take them out and turn them on. Your flaky and itchy skin will love you even more.
